why van slow?

Van life can be a beautiful thing. It can deepen your connection with nature, broaden your horizons through travel, and lead you to wonderful people. But it’s not all sunshine and roses.

Vans are energy inefficient and run on dirty fuel, and many aspects of vanlife can be unsustainable– not only for the people living inside, but also for the destinations we visit, and for our shared planet.

Fast travel may bring you far, but you miss out on much along the way.

We travel as slowly as we can to get a deeper understanding of the places we visit, limit the time (and gas) we spend on the road, and enrich our own experiences of the people and places we encounter in this wonderful, beautiful world. When we are on the road, we drive slow and hypermile to the best of our ability to get every last drop out of our tank – because not only does burning fossil fuels irreparably change global climate, but that shit’s expensive, yo!

We believe that slow, conscious, sustainable travel is an art that’s worth cultivating.

And that’s why this van goes slowwwwwwww.
